Intel connects chips with optical fiber
It's going to take a number of years, but optical fiber is going to get inside your PC.Intel's Components Research Lab is working on ways to replace copper wiring between motherboards and chips inside computers with faster, more energy-efficient optical fiber.

As the 'I' in intel stands for innovation in technology and so are its products. With the introduction of optical fibres may be possibility of frequent track cuts in the motherboard could easily be overcome. Also the credibility of the motherboards can find its way.Hat's off to INTEL.
